General Information About Township
An opportunity to learn more about South African cultures and some of the traditional eminences of the people of the Republic, this tour takes you through three of Cape Town’s significant townships, amongst others. Langa (which means “Sun” in isiXhosa and isiZulu), is the oldest township in the country, established in 1923. It flaunts a wide range of attractions like the Mzoli’s Meat Place; where you can enjoy a sizzling Shisanyama (isiZulu for a Barbeque/Braai) in an open-air shack-styled restaurant. Other places like The Eziko Restaurant offer various delicacies in the African cuisine, and you will always be spoilt for choice. You can also interact and experience the day to day lifestyle of local community dwellers, and get a chance to buy locally handmade craft.
